About us
Film with a vision
Haags Licht is a film production company founded by Robbert Clignett. We create both commissioned films and our own independent projects. Haags Licht has a clear vision of society: we strive for a humane and just world. Through our projects, we aim to contribute to this vision by shedding light on subjects that deserve attention. We hope to collaborate with clients who share our perspective.

Our Core Values
Creative
We are always looking for a creative approach that fits the story and the message. We aim for a cinematic execution where image and sound complement each other, truly resonating with the viewer’s emotions.
Humane
In our work, we like to put people at the center. Each of us is unique, and we enjoy telling personal, truly human stories. Authenticity is extremely important in this.
Honestly
Haags Licht strives for a fair society, where everyone is treated equally and can play their unique role, without corruption or abuse of power.
About Robbert
Robbert Clignett (The Hague, 1996) graduated in 2023 from the Netherlands Film Academy, specializing in editing. Robbert developed an interest in film at a young age. After high school, he completed a preparatory program at the HKU, took an editing course at Open Studio, and interned for a few months at Storm Post Production. At Storm, he worked on tasks such as logging and syncing for the feature film Baantjer: Het Begin. During his years at the film academy, he discovered that his passion lies primarily in editing documentaries, with a particular interest in human and socially relevant stories.
In his third year at the academy, Robbert edited the fiction film Per Persoon (Edward de Jong) and the documentary De Laatste Parochianen (Hugo Dreschler). He graduated with two fiction films: Niks Gebeurd (Edward de Jong) and Deus Ex Vagina (Paulien van Hummel). Additionally, during his final year, he edited another third-year documentary, Ik meer van jou (Nour Alkheder), and an HKU graduation documentary, Baas bij eigen bevalling (Maxime Klerkx).
Robbert also interned with editor Paul de Heer, assisting on the documentary Kleinkinderen van de Oost (Daan van Citters), which was the opening film of Movies that Matters 2023. After graduating, Robbert aims to focus primarily on editing documentaries.

Op zoek naar Vrede
Haags Licht is working on a film about the search for peace. There are currently many wars, but is it possible to create a society where we live together in harmony? I believe it is. Would you like to learn more about this project?
